1. capitalized : a genus (family Oviraptoridae) of bipedal carnivorous theropod dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous having a toothless muscular beaklike jaw, clawed fingers and toes, and crested skull that is known from fossils of the Gobi desert found in association with nesting sites originally thought to indicate a behavior of egg predation but now known to be indicative of brooding behavior
